I found the most awesome hat in the world at the 675-Mile Yard Sale.
I moved into the role of Executive Pastor. Lots to learn, but loving the challenge.
I turned half of a century old. My friends Janice and Julia surprised me with a Twilight Party.
My story “Friday Night Lights” was selected to be in the book God Makes Lemonade 2.
Tim and I traveled to Bell Buckle, Tennessee, to experience the R.C. and Moon Pie Festival.
My eyes got to see 123 people get baptized at Crosspoint Community Church.
Tim knocked out walls and stirred up all kinds of dust, but we ended up with a fun lime, tangerine, and turquoise up-to-date kitchen. I call it my hippie kitchen.
I danced and sang at the Beach Boys concert with my “Kokomo” friends.
Bishop T.D. Jakes tweeted me 7 times.
I fulfilled a life-long dream—I attended the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC! (Sorry if you’re tired of hearing about this, but it will probably go on for a while.)
You and I could quickly list 10 not-so-great things that happened in 2011. But I don’t want to focus on them! And I challenge you to not focus on them either. Instead, reflect on your 2011 and make your own “10 Great Things That Happened in 2011” list. Like me, I think you will start to feel very blessed.
Becky, I love your kitchen and I can’t wait to read your story about “Friday Night Lights”. The Moon Pie Festival sounds great too!
